Once upon a time, joining continents used to be an epic adventure that the likes of Marco Polo and Columbus would undertake. Tales were told about these heroes who interconnected the world and delivered new, groundbreaking products across the globe. Today, interconnecting continents is still not an easy task, but it’s an adventure I’m willing to embark on: connecting top talents and scientific experts in Latin America with innovators from the US.
Let me explain. Time and again, Arionkoder has proven that top-notch solutions can be built with Latin American talent of all kinds. From scientists and engineers to designers and all disciplines in between, we’ve been helping US healthcare innovators—particularly in the dynamic and prestigious healthcare ecosystem of Boston—materialize their innovative healthcare ideas faster and at a fraction of the cost it would entail in the US, all while maintaining top quality and speed. This, in turn, has enabled them to secure additional funding to deploy and scale their solutions, resulting in benefits for patients worldwide.
I want to build a bridge that connects intellects. I know for a fact that Latin America produces incredible scientists with skills equal to their counterparts elsewhere. This allows us to achieve faster and more efficient results in science, design, product development, innovation, and more. Without this bridge, these scientists would face fewer opportunities and lesser compensation, eventually leaving their countries in search of better prospects. Unintentionally, this stifles their countries’ scientific development and may even deprive future generations of access to quality science education. Simultaneously, by widening the opportunities that companies in a healthcare hotspot like Boston can access—opportunities they might not afford locally—it creates a win-win situation for all parties involved.
Not all companies will recognize the value of this bridge; however, those needing to experiment with the latest technology, validate their results scientifically, and design innovative solutions to current problems will certainly see it. Especially those benefiting from the intersection we have chosen: science, engineering, and design working together to achieve new and superior solutions with remarkable outcomes.
No matter how you look at it, this brings a positive impact to all involved parties and stays true to our purpose of crafting better futures for humanity. Academia, private institutions, public entities, scientists, experts, innovators, and patients will all gain from it.
I don’t intend to be the only person walking down this bridge. I want to lead the way but believe that true transformation comes from collaboration with many other companies who also view this healthcare space as we do at Arionkoder.
My ultimate goal is to create these connections in a coherent manner, and I’m certain that we have what it takes. We’re already walking on this adventurous and intricate road. Nobody said that it would be easy; challenges and resistance await. But I know that this is an effort that will radically transform developments—and mindsets—in the long term. Join us as we walk and live out this story.
